Mr Ziad Al-Labban

Ziad Al-Labban completed a 35-year career with Saudi Aramco spanning the oil, gas, petrochemical and IT industries in Saudi Arabia (KSA), the US and the Philippines. He was the Sadara Chemical Company CEO for 5-years, where he oversaw building, commissioning and operation of 26 world scale facilities, making it the largest petrochemical facility to be built in a single phase for over $20 Billion. In August 2009 through September 2012, he was CEO and Director on the Board of PetroRabigh, a 400,000 barrel integrated refinery-petrochemical facility in KSA. During which, he reversed company losses in 2009 to profits from 2010 through 2012.

While at PetroRabigh and Sadara, he also led the design and development of industrial parks adjacent to both respective facilities. Earlier he served as CEO of Saudi Refining, Incorporated (SRI) in Houston, Texas for 2-years, during which he managed SRI’s interest in Motiva Enterprises, a major US refiner with a network of approximately 8,000 gasoline stations.

His career included work with international companies such as a three- year assignment as VP for Petron Corporation in the Philippines starting in 1999. During which he was also a Director on Petron’s Board and Chairman of Ovincor, a Bermuda based insurance subsidiary. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in KSA, and a M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University in the US.

Dr Sadad I. Al Husseini

Dr. Al Husseini is the former Executive Vice President of Saudi Aramco and the Founder and President of Husseini Energy, a highly specialized energy consultancy which he launched in 2009 in Bahrain.

Dr Al Husseini brings to Vision Arabia over 40 years of experience in the energy industry, and a network of senior clients from the financial markets as well as the upstream, petrochemical and transportation industries. Dr. Al Husseini took early retirement from Aramco as Executive Vice President in 2004 and launched a project development consultancy based in Bahrain, focusing on petrochemicals as well as a sustainable energy consultancy focused on utility scale solar energy based in Riyadh. Prior to 2004, Dr. Al Husseini served as Saudi Aramco’s Sr. VP for upstream operations between 1986 and 1996 and Exec. VP for upstream operations between 1996 and 2004. He joined Saudi Aramco’s Board of Directors between 1996 and 2004 and the Saudi Electricity Company Board between 2002 and 2004. While leading Aramco’s upstream organizations, Dr. Al Husseini launched a wide range of initiatives leading to major oil and gas capacity developments utilizing state of art technology applications.

Dr Al Husseini worked closely with senior officials of the Saudi government and is a recipient of the King Abdul Aziz Medal of Honor in the first degree. He is a distinguished member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Institute of Mechanical Engineers and holds a BS in Geology from the American University of Beirut and an M.Sc and Ph.D in geological sciences from Brown University.

Mazen A. Al Alami

Mazen is the founder of AlamiConsult established in 2012 in Saudi Arabia. AlamiConsult specializes in energy and water consultancy which represents a major challenge and an opportunity in the region for the local and international investors.

Mazen brings 43 years of experience working in technical, commercial and leadership roles in local and international companies where he developed and implemented organization transformation by controlling cost, growing quality revenues leveraging employees’ strengths.

After graduating from King Fahad University in Dhahran with a B.SC in electrical engineering, he worked for Saudi Aramco power systems then moved to Saudi Cable company as a GM for Marketing and sales then as a VP for Saudi Electricity Co in the western region during that time he attended the Harvard Business School program for international senior manages in Boston, USA. In 2001 Mazen joint GE as the Country Executive where he and his team grew GE revenues from $120 M to $2 billion in 2008. During his career, Mazen interacted with many local and international leaders both governmental and commercial.

Today Mazen is the executive director of CAD Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries, managing partner of US-based Black & Veatch in Saudi Arabia. He also serves on the board of directors of Saudi Fishery company, Sawary Energy and AisA group.

Faiza Al Husseini

Faiza Al Husseni is Vice President and co-founder of Husseini Energy, a specialized energy firm she founded with Dr Sadad in 2009.

Faiza brings to Vision Arabia over a decade of expertise in business development strategies, investment management, and regional economic and geopolitical analysis.

Prior to Husseini Energy, Faiza worked at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in Chicago as an analyst in 2004, and in 2007 she became assistant portfolio manager to a high net worth team with over $1.2 billion under management. She left Morgan Stanley in 2009 to join Dr Sadad Al Husseini, in forming Husseini Energy Company.

Faiza obtained her undergraduate degree from the Loyola University of Chicago in 2003. She holds a dual MBA in Finance and International Relations from the Loyola University of Chicago.

Mr Imad Al-Labban

Imad Al-Labban is a private investor/teacher with 35 years of combined experience in finance, energy, Middle East relations and education. Mr. Al-Labban began his career with Saudi Aramco as a Rotating Equipment/Plant Operations Engineer before leaving in 1988 to pursue a career on Wall Street which spanned 22 years.

After receiving an MBA in 1990, Mr. Al-Labban accepted a position in New York City with the Bankers Trust Company’s Middle East, Africa Division with a focus on Energy Mergers & Acquisitions including the private placement of a $320 million equity fund with Saudi investors as part of a $1.2 billion joint venture between the Saudi private sector and an American energy company. In 1995, Mr. Al-Labban joined Lehman Brothers Inc.’s Equity Derivatives Trading Division and ultimately became the Managing Director and Co-Head of the Agency Equity Execution Desk and oversaw the growth of Lehman’s Program Trading business which received the #1 ranking in Overall Portfolio Quality and #2 ranking in total traded shares in 2008 by Greenwich Associates. In 2008, Mr. Al-Labban became the Managing Director, Head of Americas Program Trading Execution Desk for Barclays Capital Inc. in New York generating over $130MM annually before departing in 2012.

Mr. Al-Labban is currently a private investor and a member of the faculty at The Peddie School teaching Calculus, Economics and Finance. He received the Dr. Wilbour Eddy Saunders Society Award for Excellence in Classroom Teaching (2018), he was elected Faculty Trustee to the Board of Trustee (2018), and he is the leader of Head’s Advisory Council. Mr. Al-Labban holds a B. Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
